Craig A. Kimmel, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Kimmel is a native of Berks County, Pennsylvania and has been practicing in the County for nearly 30 years. He is a graduate of Wyomissing High School and received his undergraduate degree at Syracuse University. He attended Temple University medical school where he graduated in 1981. Following an internship at Abington Memorial Hospital in the Philadelphia area, he returned to Temple University to complete his specialty training in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, graduating in 1986. At that time he returned to the Reading, Pennsylvania area to practice.

Dr. Kimmel has been board certified since 1986 and was elected as a fellow to the American College of Surgeons in 1989. This distinction is given to only those surgeons who have shown commitment and expertise in their field.

Dr. Kimmel has had extensive experience in all areas of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgery. An Otolaryngologist, today, is an expert in both medical problems and surgical procedures of the head, neck and face. This includes head and neck cancer surgery, facial plastic surgery, sinus surgery, thyroid surgery and ear surgery. Currently, his interests are primarily in sinus surgery and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

 

Kristen E. Shimp, CRNP

Kristen Shimp, CRNP is a Berks county native. She has a bachelor’s degree in public health and a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, in 2003. She is certified as a nurse practitioner in Family practice. Kristen has been trained in all aspects of Otolaryngology with an emphasis in nasal and sinus disease.

In 2008, Kristen was extensively trained in aesthetic medicine while working at a high volume practice in North Carolina. Her training in Otolaryngology and facial and neck anatomy makes her uniquely qualified to provide treatments that enhance a patient’s natural appearance with superior attention to detail.

Kristen is highly skilled in providing nonsurgical alternatives to restore a more youthful and refreshed appearance. She does not practice “cookie cutter” aesthetic treatments and strives to keep results natural and refreshing. She truly prides herself in looking at each patient as an individual and spending time with them to tailor an individualized treatment plan.
